Cheryl Ann Pontrelli is the daughter of the late American legendary actor and filmmaker Michael Landon and his ex-wife late actress Marjorie Lynn Noe. What happened to Michael Landon Cheryl’s father
As said earlier, Eugene Maurice Orowitz popularly known as Michael Landon was an American actor and filmmaker, known for his role as Little Joe Cartwright in Bonanza, Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie, and others.Â
Landon first appeared in the television series Telephone Time in the episode “The Mystery of Casper Hauser (1956). After that, he starred in a lot of movies. Â
Michael married three times. He first married Dodie Levy-Fraser in 1956 and then divorced in 1962. Michael adopted Dodie’s biological son, Mark Fraser Landon and they adopted another child, Josh Fraser Landon.
He then got married to Cheryl’s mother Lynn Noe in 1963 and got divorced in 1982. They had 7 children. His last wife was Cindy Clerico, a makeup artist on Little House on the Prairie set. They got married in 1983 and had two children together.

Landon admitted to being a chain smoker and a heavy drinker. In an interview with The Associated Press in 1991, Michael said “I believe in God, I believe in family, I believe in truth between people, I believe in the power of love, I believe that we really are created in God’s image, that there is God in all of us.”  Â
On 2 April 1991, Cheryl Ann Pontrelli’s father Michael suffered a severe headache while he was on a skiing vacation in Utah. It was diagnosed as an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer known as exocrine adenocarcinoma. He died on 1 July in Malibu, California at age 54.
He was buried in a private family mausoleum at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery, in Culver City, California. On his headstone reads; “He seized life with joy. He gave life too generously. He leaves a legacy of love and laughter.”
A community building at Malibu’s Bluffs Park was named “The Michael Landon Center” to honor the actor. There have been a lot of shows in honor of Cheryl’s father and his family.Â
