Roxann Dawson born Roxann Caballero was born on 11 September, 1964 in Los Angeles, California, USA to Richard Caballero and Rosalie Caballero. She is an American actress and director, who is known for her role as B’Elanna Torres in the television series Star Trek: Voyager.
She attended Beverly Hill High School where she developed her interest in music and drama. She often participated in the school’s stage productions.
After she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1980 with a major in theater and arts, she began her job as an actress.
In 1982, Emma’s mother Roxann started her career with the Broadway production of ‘A Chorus Line’, staged at the Shubert Theatre, in New York. She played the character Diana Morales in the musicals. She also got roles in plays like ‘Daughters’, ‘Tropicana’ and William Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’.
In 1986 she wrote a stage play called “Desire to Fall”, which was produced by the Circle Repertory Company. Her second play, Passage Through Heart debuted in 1997 at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
