Grant attended South Lakes in Reston, Virginia, and furthered to Duke University and played basketball for the Duke Blue Devils for four years. After Myla’s father graduated in 1994, he was selected by Detroit Pistons as the third overall pick in the NBA draft. At Duke University, Myla’s father earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in history and political science.
