Who is Mauro Icardi’s father?

Mauro Icardi’s father Juan Icardi is a chef. He was married to Analia Rivero. The couple are the parents of Mauro Icardi who was born and raised in Rosario, Argentina, and his siblings Ivana Icardi and Guido Icardi. Juan worked in a restaurant to provide for the needs of the family. Years later, Juan and his wife Analia Rivero went their separate ways. According to CARAS,  Juan Carlos also had other children, from a previous marriage, (Juan Jesús, Aldana, and Franco) who maintain a very low profile.

Juan Icardi is a butcher and a master Griller

Far from the football pitch, Mauro’s father has a job that marked Argentine Striker to this day, he even instilled Mauro’s tastes when it came to cooking as a family. Juan was a great griller from whom the Galatasaray striker learned many cooking tips.

Talking on Masterchef a program hosted by Mauro’s wife Wanda Nara on the Telefe screen, the striker said- “I really like barbecue. I do it frequently. My dad is also a very good cook. He was a butcher in his time and he knows a lot about cuts of meat. I learned a lot from him,

The senior Icardi mostly shows off his culinary works on his social media pages and also enjoys making food for his children and grandchildren. Among his best dishes are ribs, matambre, and homemade pasta with stew per Revistagente.

Juan appears to also be very close to his daughter-in-law Wanda Nara. She greeted her father-in-law, Juan, for his birthday. In a post, she wrote

Thank you for giving us the most valuable and beautiful moments as a family. Your talks while we wait for your pizzas, breads, etc. to rise and give us the love that only a grandfather like you can give and is the most beautiful thing about childhood . Happy birthday grandpa @juanicardi we love you and miss you very much,” he wrote in a post full of family photos in which Mauro’s father does all kinds of shared activities.

Juan Icardi usually divides his time between Rosario and Paris to spend time with his son, Wanda, and their daughters, Francesca and Isabella. The grandpa loves spending time with the girls.

Why is Icardi at Galatasaray?

Juan Icardi’s son, born in Rosario, Argentina, moved to the Canary Islands when he was nine. The Argentine Striker began his football career with Vecindario in Gran Canaria. He scored over 40 goals for the club in their youth categories setting him up for an interesting career on the pitch.

Mauro Icardi joined Barcelona FC at the start of the 2008–09 season and was included on the U-17 team and the under-19s sides. However, he failed to break into the main team and was sent out on loan to Sampdoria.

Inter bought the promising striker for $6.6 million in July 2013 where he quickly developed into a prolific goal scorer and even served as a captain. Juan Icardi’s son later lost his captaincy and was left out in a couple of games, leading to his exit after falling out with the club’s supporters.

The Argentine striker completed a season loan move to PSG in 2019. Later the club paid Inter $56 million plus $9 million in bonuses in May 2020 to sign him permanently where he helped the club win the French League 1 title twice.

On 28 July 2023, Galatasaray announced that Icardi had arrived in Istanbul to complete his permanent transfer to Turkey. Two days later he signed a three-year contract with the club and would receive a salary of €6 million per year and a transfer fee of €10 million was paid to his former club Paris Saint-Germain.
